Leased from PRR/PC 3/64-4/76, painted as LV. Ran as 8640-44/48 until 1/67, renumbered to 7600 series as part of PC merger renumbering. PRR upgraded units to 2000hp in 1963 rebuild. Only units to keep same numbers under Conrail, 4 rebuilt to slugs in the 1000 series. All 4-axle slugs got EMD Blomberg trucks before purged from roster in 1995-6.
