C628 - AFM27
625-632 Built to order 1965.
633-641 Secondhand via Alco from Monon, 1968. Returned due to high weight and poor tracking capabilities (IE they tore up poor track or went on the ground), they were refurbished by Alco and sold at a bargain price. Units have plated nose where warning light was and different sandboxes. Order numbers for these are 3371-5 to -13, the last units with 5-digit Alco builders numbers.
(The Monon book also says the units were serious lemons and Monon mechanical forces redesigned the entire piston assembly because of part failures/design flaws).
